My adventure begins after many years of raising my two beautiful daughters. Now it's my time to enjoy life and ride once again. I started by buying a used 1985 Yamaha Seca 550, then traded her in for a new 2004 Honda 599. I live on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. Please come visit one of the world's best places to live and ride......2002-2008. It's best to view slideshow feature in any album you wish.
Thanks for taking the time....Enjoy!

This 3 day ride travels through the Hope-Princeton highway to Penticton, Osoyoos and on towards Creston. Highway 3A north of Creston is the start of Destination Highway #1 in British Columbia. Beautiful sweeping roads with scenery often compared to our west coast brings you north where you board the Osprey, North America's longest free ferry ride(35 minutes) across Kootenay Lake. Continue north to New Denver, once housing Japanese Canadians during the second world war. Continue north to Nakusp, did I mention the free ride aboard a cable drawn ferry. Continue west to Vernon and Kamloops. Travel through the Thompson and Fraser Canyons and remain on the north side of the Fraser River to ride through Harrison, Misson and Maple Ridge. There are many hidden rides in and around the Fraser Valley that have wonderful scenery and nice twisty roads to explore. Glad you were able to come along for a ride.......07/2004

British Columbia's Destination Highway Number 2....Sea to Sky Highway....back roads through Duffey Lake...Lillooet and back south through the Thompson and Fraser Canyons. This loop can be done in one day from Vancouver but at a moderate pace. Sea to Sky under heavy construction until 2010 Olympics. Back roads through Duffey Lake area getting pretty rough with a lot of debris-CAUTION. If you have never ridden this route I would still recommend as the scenery is well worth it......09/2004

Take a short ferry ride over to the Sunshine Coast. Visit Molly's Reach(Gibson's Landing) made famous from the TV series-Beachcombers, stop and get a bite to eat. There are many beautiful fresh water lakes to explore along with hidden ocean coves and beaches. My favourite part is near Earl's Cove where the roads are good, fast and twisty. Hike into Skookumchuck Narrows during the tide change and watch the calm waters turn into a raging river. Have lunch at a Fish & Chip restaurant along the waterfront. This ride is truly one of the best one day rides local to Vancouver......05/2004

Head south I-5 to Fairhaven/Chuckanut Drive exit, where you enter a unique district with interesting shops to explore. Stay at the bed and breakfast or continue on to Chuckanut Drive, Bellingham's original route to California. Here you meander through homes set right on the coastline, finally entering through a mature forest tight along the coastline built high up on a cliff. The mature vegetation and scenery can be enjoyed along with plenty of turns. Stop off at the Osyter Creek Inn located near the final hairpin turn. Here you can enjoy delicious seafood prepared and served overlooking a flowing creek. Head south further on Hwy 11 to Burlington then west on I-20 to Widbey Island where you enjoy a nice drive until you arrive at Deception Pass. This bridge crosses over to continue on to Fort Casey and a ferry ride to Port Townsend.....2004

This ride takes us from Edmonds north of Seattle across to Kingston by ferry, then south along the Hood Canal to a beautiful Norwegian style town called Poulsbo. Stop and take a break here and explore the many fine shops. Heading north we come to Port Gamble, a town in the process of restoring homes orginally built in the 1870's. Travel further east across the Hood Canal Bridge and head west along 101 to Port Angeles. Take highway 112 along the coast where you come across many fine twisty turns with little sights of the ocean. Continue west to La Push where three beaches exist for you to explore. Visit ocean park's website at: ocean-park.org Come and stay right on the beach in a native designed modern cabin with no TV, but cooking facilities and a nice warm gas fireplace. Enjoy the wonderful view of the ocean and watch the whales feed just off shore along with the many surfers. This resort is not to be missed but make sure you reserve ahead of time. Returning back head along inland through Crescent Lake and beyond to Hurricane Ridge, south of Port Angeles......2004

We ventured off on nice hot sunny day to Mount Baker, Washington. As usual we started off through Chuckanut Drive and crossed back on Bow wandering through the hidden twisty roads near Park where there is plenty of nice cabins, trees and fresh water lakes. Returning on Highway 9 north to Mount Baker we enjoyed excellent new pavement with plenty of tight turns to the top where even in late June snow is still present. This is a fantastic one day ride from Vancouver!

This is my favourite ride in
Washington State....and it happens to be Washington's Destination Highway Number 1. I like to start off in
Bellingham through Chuckanut Drive.....south on highway 11 to Burlington and then simply east on Interstate 20 to Winthrop, WA. On a hot summers day you can see many motorcycles taking this fine trip through the American Alps.....roads are in excellent shape with plenty of twisty turns for all to enjoy

Crossing from Washington over the Astoria Bridge to Oregon. Visit Troutdale and the Old Scenic Highway for a short pleasant ride along the Columbia Canyon. Crossing over the Cascade Locks to Carson and take the back roads to Mount Saint Helens and the Windy Ridge Viewpoint. Although this road is somewhat remote you can enjoy over 95 miles of twisty roads-just make sure you have enough gas. Heading north through central Washington to Yakima and Wenatchee and finally Leavenworth and the Southern Cascades home.

As always Chuckanut Drive is a start to my journey to I-20 and the Northern Cascades. This adventure takes me to Grand Coulee Dam and northwards to the Canadian border. I crossed over into the Kootenays, Upper Arrow lake and onwards to 100 Mile House and Sheridan Lake for some wakeboarding and fishing time. A side trip to historic Barkerville and then homewards through the Thompson and Fraser Canyons.

4 days and 3200km later this adventure took me through Hope-Princeton to just south of Chopka...Canada-US border crossing. Taking backroads through Colville National Forest and east to Sandpoint, Idaho and the Pend Oreille Scenic Highway to Kalispel Montana. I took a scenic ride through Swan lake and ventured south to Missoula and Salmon, Idaho. Highway 93 on the Salmon Scenic Byway certainly had fantastic scenery and was highlighted by a ride through Craters Of The Moon National Park. Idaho has so many scenic highways that there just wasn't enough time to get it all in. Final route westward through Boise, and secondary roads through Mt Rainier and home. Wish I had more time, hope you enjoy my pictures.

We had two goals in mind! Travel to Mount Saint Helens-Windy Ridge viewpoint. I have ventured here before and highly recommend this ride from highway 12 south to Carson-it's a must if you want to enjoy 150km's of twisty roads-sport bikes be prepared for a lot of fun. Weather was clear, hot and dry. Roads were in very good shape-just slightly rough in spots heading down from the top viewpoint.
Second to ride through Rattlesnake Canyon, Washington, where we spent more time taking pictures and enjoying the amazing views. This road hugs the canyon walls very tightly and is to be travelled with caution to fallen rocks and a few rough spots. The construction of this road has to be seen and the viewpoints along are spectacular-a must see for all bikers.

This three day trip highlights include Snoqualmie Falls and touring Kickitat Canyon and Rowena's Crest. My journey through time involved riding through John Day Fossil Monument which spreads through three separate areas in central Oregon. The Clarno Unit, Sheep Rock and finally Painted Hills with it striking multicoloured rock formations.

Enjoyed this ride in late September to Anacortes Washington where some 15,000 bikers rode out on a nice sunny day to show off their pride and joy. It's like a mini Sturgis rally. If you plan to attend make sure you bring your camera!
